Petquip reveals finalists for prestigious Industry Awards 2021
For the second year running, we have been nominated.
2020 saw us win the Silver Award in Best Product for the Car Seat Belt/Boot Lead Restraint. And rightly so, it’s one of our best sellers and above all it keeps dogs safe in your car.
This year I entered the Stealth Anti-Theft Dog Lead in the category of Innovations in Lockdown and Product of the Year/Accessories.

I got a surprise text in December saying we had been nominated in the Animal Star Awards, so that was a nice suprise.

So, this is today’s announcement – 4th August 2020, they are coming thick and fast! I’m really chuffed about this one as it happened very quietly and the email came out of the blue. Chris called me and told me the news and the benefits etc plus we have a socially distanced awards ceremony to go to!
The Corporate Livewire Prestige Awards recognise small and medium-sized businesses that have proven to be the best in their market over the past 12 months.
All shortlisted companies put forward in the prestige awards are asked to support their nomination with evidence of their work, positive feedback from their clients, information on previous accreditation and recognition as well as highlighting the most outstanding parts of their businesses.
The judging panel base their decisions upon areas such as service excellence, quality of the product/ service provided, innovative practices, value, ethical or sustainable methods of working, as well as consistency in performance. The winners selected are those who can best demonstrate their strengths in these areas.

I have been waiting for this one since October 2019, then in March, I was allowed to enter. Just last week (July) I found out that I was a finalist and yesterday (3rd August) I was given the go-ahead top publicise. Now I have to wait patiently for the voting on August 25th and press release in September, but we’re not told when. This sone was a really nice win as PetQuip are a well-renowned company.

In terms of how you are awarded our judging panel uses the case file built by our research team and any supporting evidence submitted by the nominee to make the decision as to who was successful in the programme. To move successfully from nominee to winner there must be evidence of expertise within a given field, dedication to customer service and client satisfaction with an ongoing commitment to excellence and innovation.
All nominees are placed within specific categories along with other shortlisted parties – winners are chosen using a number of factors such as previous accolades, customer/client reviews, products and services offered etc. Each winner has an individual title and no two titles are the same, you may win under a particular country or region also.
We have an entirely unbiased internal panel. It consists of an international, collective of individuals, with backgrounds from a myriad of fields, such as business, economy, politics, media, journalism, history and education. The panel is led by a veteran academic leader with international pedagogic and coaching experience who is well versed in research, fact-checking and mediation; allowing the panel to operate with efficacy and dependability.
It’s great that this is our second year running. Last year was Three Best Rated, we didn’t even know that was coming – again, I was really chuffed. It’s nice to see your work being recognised. A massive thanks to all the staff who work behind the scenes at the awards companies – thank you very much!
