The lead is not a guarantee that your dog will not try to chew it, in the event of a chewed lead we are sorry but refunds or replacements are not possible. We are confident your dog will not bite through the lead 100%, not that it won’t try to chew it – that is obviously beyond our control.

• Do not use as a car lead.
• Do not leave the lead on a dog unattended.
• Use as a walking lead where you will be supervising.
• If your dog really is a persistent chewer we recommend a chain lead.

That’s why we’ve brought back our Chew Resistant Dog Lead – designed specifically for dogs who have made a habit of destroying their leads.

This tough and durable chew resistant lead is made using a coated steel cable core (x2 down each side of the webbing) – lightweight, flexible, but difficult to bite completely through.

Each lead is handmade to order here in the UK, using the same care and attention as all our custom dog leads. It is designed to give you peace of mind and your dog the freedom to walk without the constant risk of breaking a lead completely through.

This lead is ideal for both daily walks and training sessions. Whether your dog is young, boisterous, or just a serial chewer – this is the lead for them.

What is the chew proof dog lead made from?

UHMWPE stands for Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene with steel rope x 2 running down each side of the lead.

The joins are stitched using nylabond tkt40 thread, the ends are tipped with a metal cover, taped and covered in shrink tube.

So, this is not so much a heavy duty dog lead, it is suitable for all dog sizes, although if you have a giant breed or especially strong chewer, you may want to contact Sarah first.

Care of your Dog Lead

If this lead receives some serious chewing, we recommend that you inspect the lead immediately to make sure no metal fibres are protruding as this could cause harm.

We recommend replacing the lead immediately.
